Place is awesome, always packed in a good way. They got a jukebox (if they still call it that) that has a ton of songs. Kinda turns into a dickfest after 10pm, but place is cool before 10.

Was playing tourist in Carlsbad, and was fortunate enough to run across this gem of a Cantina - Restaurant. Gal behind the bar was Super Woman- handling over 40 happy customers, and getting every drink and food order 100% correct - even though she used no pen and paper! Awesome! Enjoyed every item ordered from their vast menu. Drinks were superb. Music great - but maybe not family friendly...a great experience. Can't wait to visit again.

If you are Bar Hopping in the Village, this is a nice little spot to visit. Definitely has the locals tybe of vibe. They have happy hour and food to eat. I just wouldn't recommend ordering some fancy drink... Because this is not their speciality.

My visit there was.. just okay. Seeing the name, was expecting something else. When my boyfriend and I got there, it took the lady at the bar quite a bit to notice we were there. There were these two ladies that came in after us and sat next to us (regulars maybe? because the lady at the bar took shots with them) and that's when she finally noticed us. Once she finally saw us, it was okay. She was nice and got our order and drinks. Felt a bit of the favoritism towards her regulars. I had a burger but the patty didn't have much taste to it. We were in the middle of a shift change and the girl who we had afterwards was pretty awesome. Very attentive and super nice. The Spinach Artichoke dip had way too much onion in it, for my taste.

Read till the end. I ordered fish n chips and onion rings, didn't really care for them. Ineven got sick later that night from what I ate. Service was pretty bad. They forgot the onion rings and no one came to ask us what we need for a very long time and no one would check on us from time to time. Even our drinks took forever, though just beer, nothing special. Prices are ok. Now, if you just want to hang out with your friend or go to a place with trendy crowd and grab a beer, then it might be a good place.

My first bar I went to in Carlsbad. And they were incredible, amazing staff, great service I would highly recommend coming here first. The food looked great too. 5 stars this is your local bar if you’re coming here..

Just dont order food. I feel bad since investors are forcing then out in 2020 but we did not have a positive experience with food. Took 90 mins. Ended up paying..asking for it to go.. put the kids in the car and drove back and still waited 10 more minutes.

Another gem in the rough. Food outstanding. Great selection from breakfast lunch and dinner. Great prices. Plenty of draft choices. Easy to pass by but don't.

We ate at Mas Finas in Carlsbad tonight and they had a sign posted mask required, so we wore our masks until we sat at at our own table outside away from others..yet one of our waitresses, who seemed very nice and hard working, had her mask around her chin and not covering her face at all while waiting on us or anyone while we ate outside. We hardly eat out, but this really made me wonder why post a sign to customers when employees aren't following the same guidelines? All other employees we saw were wearing masks. Stay safe out there and please be kind to others!

Went for brunch and football Sunday morning and the food was great and the staff was better.

Fun local bar with a great open mic on Tuesday nights. I personally have played music there many times over the past 20 years.

Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere! Many good nights spent at Cantinas. Friendly staff and crowd. Cantinas will always have a special place in my heart.

Wow, great little place; Very local but welcoming; Food was awesome; Had the cantina omelette with the potatoes; the bell peppers were super fresh and tasted like they'd just been cut; the potatoes are fantastically seasoned and did not require ketchup; the bartender/waitress was great, very attentive and right on top of everything; I'll be back to try lunch and a few drinks next time:)

Great food, friendly staff, patio so we could bring our Maltipoo. A nice relaxing time and we'll be back.

This is a great bar with lots of space to hang out. The beer is pretty good, bartenders are friendly and the jukebox is fun. Definitely a good spot to hit on froday night! The outside patio is also awesome!

Great chips & guac/pico/salsa. Lots of party peeps on the weekend nights, but too small and congested though during busy weekends.

Mike couldn't be any more talented and dreamy to listen to. Every Tuesday night is open mic and for the last 15 years nothing short of magic is made , my private serenade , in that tiny corner of the universe! .50 wings and over the top talent! Keep on rockin in the free world!!

We were down in Carlsbad for a children’s film festival happened upon this little friendly sunny spot. Big portions and delicious homemade food with an outside patio area where you can have a beer love this place bonus it’s dog friendly on the outside patio. Hands down best bar in Carlsbad! The Bartenders are amazing, definitely don't leave you thirsty. The food is amazing, the menu is great and the specials are always on point... but most of all the staff is the best around

Good food and early alcoholic drinks

Friendly and fun. Most experiences would have to be rated baring in mind the company one keeps. Not this place. I would even recommend it for solo outings. The pizza and drinks are all good, the location is very convenient, and the prices fair, but it's the service I would return for. The ppl here are fast, upbeat and genuinely kind.

Had breakfast this morning. Had the Mexican scramble eggs with onion jalapenos and chopped tomatoes. Instead of potatoes, had fruit cup and whole black beans, they don't offer whole pinto beans, who knows why. Egg portion was very small, like child's plate.pico de gallo was awful

Simply fantastic local spot. Great service and fantastic food at non tourist prices. I'll be back for sure. Make sure to try the Cantina potatoes they are crisp and perfectly seasoned.

Good nightclub. I came here with my hubby, brother & his gf. I saw two rooms. A small one and the main one. I liked all the lighting and effects on the main floor. I also got invited to go to the 3rd floor but I found it boring..

We love this place. The food is shockingly good. The service is always good. Which is a feat because sometimes it’s packed and the server always manages to get to everyone on a timely basis. Great local crowd. Lots of regulars. Great happy hour. Great regular prices. One of the few places in Carlsbad that is super affordable. Let’s save this place from the developers people!!! It’s a neighborhood treasure.

THEY ADDED A 35% TIP TO MY CARD WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR APPROVAL! BEWARE!!!Terrible service, extremely rude bartender (Friday Evening). Went in to order take out, then took a walk through the village. Upon our return to pick up said food, bartender was again extremely rude! Pretty sure she thought we where tourist's, but in fact we are locals. I signed for my take out order rounded the balance to a equal number, mind you tipping is not required for a take out order. Come to realize 2 days later when the amount cleared my account, she added a 35% tip to my card without my knowledge or approval! With this being said pretty sure mas fina cantina and their rude friday evening bartender has been ripping off tourist's and locals alike for who knows how long! I've contacted the BBB and I am still trying to contact management and ownership to rectify this issue. Please be cautious!
